State Clean Diesel Grant
Funding Amount: $1,730,000
Program Overview: Funds will be used to retrofit school busses with Clean Air Technology and to construct truck stop electrification facility at the Smyrna rest area.

State Clean Diesel Grant (2)
Funding Amount: $4,625,000
Program Overview: Funds will be used to retrofit municipal and state fleets with Clean Air Technology (Diesel Particulate Filters). With the objective to reduce diesel soot emissions by 90% on 337 municipal and state heavy duty diesel trucks, reduce diesel soot emissions by 90% on 57 school buses, and to reduce diesel soot emissions by 20% on 26 non-road DNREC state park vehicles.

United State Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Brownfields Cleanup Revolving Fund Loan
Funding Amount: $400,000
Program Overview: Funding will permit the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) to continue its efforts to revitalize contaminated sites that plague the State and diminish quality of life for its citizens. This funding will provide financial resources to eligible parties that struggle to cleanup and revitalize impoverished communities by creating jobs, improving housing stocks, and establishing a basis for sustainability.

United State Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Brownfields Job Training Grant
Funding Amount: $500,000
Program Overview: Funding to continue the training program that will continue with a mechanism that has a proven track record of training and placing individuals residing in communities impacted by brownfields into gainful environmental employment. The focus of these funds will be on the City of Wilmington, New Castle County.

Delaware State Parks
Recovery Youth Conservation Corps 2009
Funding Amount: $153,912
Program Overview: The focus of this program will be to provide job training skills to the members while providing much needed service to our parks for the citizens and visitors to the state of Delaware. Through this program, we will gainfully engage participants who are otherwise unable to secure paid employment resulting from the current economic crisis.
